Teaching Assitant
University of California San Diego, Winter 2015 - Fall 2017
Eight quarters TA experience in undergraduate level and graduate level courses in optics, nanoengineering, and solid-state physics. My responsibilities included grading, holding office hours, and teaching lab sections.
Classes TA'd:
- ECE 181 - Physical Optics & Fourier Optics
- ECE 183B- Electronic Devices
- ECE 185 - Lasers and Modulators
- ECE 135 - Optical Electronics
- ECE 240A - Lasers and Optics (Graduate Level)
- ECE 212A - Nanoengineering (Graduate Level)
- ECE 278 - Math Topics for MS Comp Exam (Graduate Level)
Project Manager
Robotics Development Program at Mediamation/Wilshire Consulting, Summer 2013
Successfully managed a small team of engineers to prototype, fabricate and test Phase 2 of an underwater R.O.V. Required management skills, organization and an understanding of all engineering aspects of the project.
Undergraduate Researcher
U.C. San Diego, Summer 2013
Designed and published an algorithm for high dynamic range, quantitative IR imaging of CROW devices (see publications). Completed in the Micro/NanoPhotonics Group under Professor Mookherjea.
Lab Assistant
College of Optical Sciences at the University of Arizona, Fall 2009-Spring 2013
Developed compact optical isolators composed of polymer-based Mach-Zehnder interferometers and iron oxide nanoparticles. I was required to learn fabrication techniques such as photo-lithography and nanoparticle deposition. During my research there, I was elected to present my research to the Arizona Board of Reagent. Completed in the Electro-Optical and Magneto-Optical groups under Professor Norwood. For further insight on my work, please see publications.
